1 To 1 Plaster Model & Mould Making Workshop

I now offer 1 to 1 plaster model and mould making workshops  

You will spend the morning learning how to turn your own plaster model on a plaster lathe which will then be used to make a mould from.

After a lunch break you will then learn how to create a plaster mould from your turned model. Depending on time available you may be able to create 2 moulds from your model. 

Your plaster model and moulds will be yours to take away with you after the workshop. Your moulds will take a few days to dry out and once bone dry they will be ready for you to slip cast from.

The workshop will run 10am – 4pm with a 1 hour lunch break.

Cost £100 which includes all materials

Please note that due to the time available the model you turn will need to be a simple shape for a drop out mould, eg cylinders and tapered shapes. The types of shapes you will be able to produce can be for bowels, mugs/cups, tealight holders, pen pots, small vases and trinket dishes.

Due to the size of my lathe the maximum sizes of models that can be turned are 14cm wide x 24cm High approx

- Tea’s, Coffee’s and refreshments will be provided throughout the workshop.

- Aprons will be provided but wear old clothes and shoes

If for any reason you need to cancel your booking then this needs to be done at least 14 days prior to the start of the workshop and a full refund will be given. Unfortunately any cancellations made within 14 days prior to the workshop start date are unable to be refunded.

If the workshop has to be cancelled due to covid-19 or illness then you will be offered the option to reschedule the workshop subject to my availability.  

Gift Vouchers 

Gift vouchers can be sent if you are buying it as a gift for someone. Select the 'yes please' option from the drop down menu if you would like one. They are an additional cost of £1.50 and will be sent out 2nd class within 2 workings days after ordering.
